philadelphia @ dusk in autumn

i am once again captivated by the magic of autumn skies, especially as i have come to know them living in the northeastern united states. i took the photo above just a few hours ago at a nearby intersection; the one below was taken just over a year earlier, just before dusk on the day after a meandering conversation with a friend about monet and his practice of painting as one of attempting to capture light in its many splendid forms, while we both looked up at the splendid site in front of us.
